|CATALOG DESCRIPTION:||A study of the Old Testament from Joshua through Malachi.|
|TOPICS:||Conquest of Canaan; period of the Judges; Samuel, the Prophet; the United Monarchy under Saul, David, Solomon; the divided kingdom; Canaanite religion; the scattering of Israel and Judah; the return of the Jews from exile; the books of poetry; and the prophets.|
|OBJECTIVES:||1- To understand the history of Israel from their entrance into the land of Canaan to the return of the Jews from Babylonian exile.
2- To become acquainted with Old Testament poetry and the writings of the prophets.
|REQUIREMENTS:||Regular attendance is required. All faculty give assignments, but each determines his/her own combination of text assignments, projects, and tests.|
|PREREQUISITES:||Student must have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA to take an Honor's course.|
