| TOPICS: | Conquest of Canaan; period of the Judges; Samuel, the Prophet; the United Monarchy under Saul, David, Solomon; the divided kingdom; Canaanite religion; the scattering of Israel and Judah; the return of the Jews from exile; the books of poetry; and the prophets. | ||
| OBJECTIVES: | 1- To understand the history of Israel from their entrance into the land of Canaan to the return of the Jews from Babylonian exile. 2- To become acquainted with Old Testament poetry and the writings of the prophets. |

| REQUIREMENTS: | Regular attendance is required. All faculty give assignments, but each determines his/her own combination of text assignments, projects, and tests. | ||
