GENERAL EDUCATION: This course fulfills a General Education - Religion requirement.

CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Consists of a study of the Book of Mormon from a missionary viewpoint with emphasis on doctrines and principles the missionary will need to know and teach.
DESCRIPTION: The Missionary Preparation course looks at the gospel of Jesus Christ and the impact it can have upon the eternal happiness and well being of God's children.
TOPICS: This course will focus on three mojor areas:
1- Catching the vision of missionary work
2- Missionaries to match the message: becoming more Christlike
3- The message - the power of God unto salvation.
OBJECTIVES: Understand the basic teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as found in the standard missionary discussions. Learn the basic missionary scriptural passages found in the missionary discussions and learn the basic Church doctrines and principles which are the foundation of the missionary discussions.
REQUIREMENTS: Regular attendance is required. All faculty give assignments, but each determines his/her own combination of text assignments, projects, and tests.
