| CATALOG DESCRIPTION: | Designed primarily for single students. This course will consider the Doctrine of Eternal Marriage, as well as dating and courtship that lead to such a marriage. | ||
| DESCRIPTION: | This class allows the student to examine the many different issues that lead to one's being successfully sealed in the temple of the Lord | ||
| TOPICS: | The course will cover the following topics: doctrines, principles, and application; gaining an eternal perspective; proclamation on the family; new and everlasting covenant of marriage; Lord's standard for dating; Lord's standard of chastity; atonement, repentance; building upon a sure foundation of Christ; putting off the natural man; maturity; temporal preparation; communication; resolving convlict; differences between men and women; foreordained roles of men and women; love; mate selection; revelation and marriage; preparing for the temple; intimacy in marriage; making the transition into marriage. | ||
| OBJECTIVES: | The purpose of this course is to teach the doctrines and principles revealed by the Lord through modern-day prophets and the standard works that, when understood and appropriately applied and lived, will lead to an eternal marriage. | ||
| REQUIREMENTS: | Regular attendance is required. All faculty give assignments, but each determines his/her own combination of text assignments, projects, and tests. | ||
