GENERAL EDUCATION: This course fulfills a General Education - Religion requirement.

CATALOG DESCRIPTION: A study of the basic doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as taught in the scriptures and by Latter-day prophets.
DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to help the student systematically study the principles and doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ from the four standard works of the Church and selected statements of the latter-day prophets.
TOPICS: The fundamental principles and doctrines of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ-organized under thirty-seven headings.
OBJECTIVES: To increase faith in Jesus Christ through a fuller understanding of His word (Romans 10:17).
REQUIREMENTS: Study and ponder the assigned scriptures and prophetic statements found in the Doctrines of the Gospel student manual. There will be a variety of assignments designed to improve gospel understanding, including some or all of the following: writing, testing, presenting, and service opportunities. Emphasis will be on both comprehension and discipleship.
