CATALOG DESCRIPTION: This course includes learning proper grammar, punctuation, and format of documents; analyzing, composing, and dictating business letters and memos; producing job application documents; researching and creating business reports; interviewing; and giving oral presentations.
DESCRIPTION: This course provides students the opportunity to improve communication skills through the analyzing, composing, and dictating of various types of business letters, application letters, and reports. Students will also do oral communication projects.

OBJECTIVES: Understand the importance of good communication skills.
Write effective business letters and memos using the favorable, unfavorable, and persuasive correspondence plans.
Write a proficient application letter and resume.
Write reports using the MLA style.
Present oral reports using the latest technology.

PREREQUISITES: English 111 and 22 credit hours.
