DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to introduce the student to the discipline of accounting with an Agribusiness perspective. This course will introduce the concepts of accounting as they pertain to: double entry, composition of the balance sheet, income statements, journals and payroll.
TOPICS: Double entry concepts, composition of balance sheet, income statements, journals and payroll; Computer
accounting applications.
OBJECTIVES: 1. Have a strong basic knowledge of accounting terms, concepts, and procedures.
2. Have a strong introduction of basic accounting reports such as balance sheet, income statement, etc.
3. Have a preparation and background for more advanced studies in accounting.
4. Learned the process of posting in a general ledger and business reporting and analysis.
