CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Operation, selection, adjustment, and care of tractors, mowers, backhoes, ditchers, and other equipment used in agriculture production, construction, and maintenance.
DESCRIPTION: Operation, selection, adjustment, and care of tractors, mowers, backhoes, ditchers, and other equipment used in agriculture production, construction, and maintenance.


TOPICS: Safety. Equipment operation. Loading and tying down equipment for transportation. Use of operators and technical manuals for servicing equipment.
OBJECTIVES: The student will demonstrate their ability to perform basic service to the equipment as well as the actual operating of the equipment provided in a safe manner.
REQUIREMENTS: A BYU-Idaho driving permit is required before students can operate university agricultural machinery.
