| CATALOG DESCRIPTION: | This course is designed to assist secondary teachers in meeting the needs of exceptional students. A wide range of exceptionalities will be addressed on topics such as identification of disabilities and exceptionalities, adaptive teaching strategies, legal issues and collaborative opportunities. Classroom management will also be emphasized. | ||

| TOPICS: | Identification, accommodation and management of exceptionalities found in school settings. | ||
| OBJECTIVES: | Pre-service secondary teachers will be provided the understandings and skills to serve the exceptional children who they must teach. | ||
| REQUIREMENTS: | Restricted to Secondary Education majors who have completed 45 or more credits. | ||
| PREREQUISITES: | Ed 200, Ed 270, SecEd 205 and SecEd 252 | ||
