CATALOG DESCRIPTION: This course is secondary education student teaching.
DESCRIPTION: This course provides a venue for secondary pre-service education students to highlight what they have learned from the education received in their major fields of study. Students will typically spend six weeks in each of two placements. This will provide hands-on practical experience in classroom management, instructional design and delivery, and educational assessment. A weekly seminar will provide a forum where student teachers from diverse majors and disciplines will come together and focus their expertise and efforts on the common problems they are facing.
TOPICS:
OBJECTIVES: This fulfills the state requirement that all pre-service secondary education majors complete a student teaching experience.
REQUIREMENTS: Restricted to secondary education majors who have completed all coursework required for graduation with a C- or better grade. This would include the educational core, major/minor/composite courses and GE requirements.
PREREQUISITES: Restricted to Secondary Education majors who are scheduled to student teach and have completed all their graduation coursework.
