| TOPICS: | Stock management, equipment identificaiton and usage, packing techniques, lash and sling identification, equine wilderness first aid. | ||
| OBJECTIVES: | Participants will be able to identify the qualities of a good pack animal, differentiate between the philosophies of top packing and Manty packing, become proficient in the use of a number of slings and hitches, become proficient in camp site selection, care and maintainance, understand the rudiments of emergency vet care in the back country. | ||
