CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Exploration of concept as an element of illustration.
DESCRIPTION: Exploration of concept as an element of illustration. The assignments will explore areas such as editorial illustration.
TOPICS: Symbolism and communication in illustration.
OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this course is to introduce illustration students to the process of conceptual development and communication of ideas.
REQUIREMENTS: Assignments will be graded on the following criteria: breadth of exploration, appropriateness of the chosen solution, craftsmanship and verbal presentation. The assignments will involve problem solving skills and research.
PREREQUISITES: Art 110, Art 117, Art 215, Art 240. Art 115, Art 250 or Art 255 recommended.
