| CATALOG DESCRIPTION: | Diagnosis and repairing of steering, brakes, and vehicle wheel alignment of cars and light trucks. This is the lab portion of this course. | ||

| TOPICS: | Students will learn how to service automotive and light truck steering and braking systems. Performing vehicle alignments is also a requirement of this course. |

| OBJECTIVES: | Students will be observed objectively for their skills and ability to perform: 1. Hydraulic related brake system service/repairs 2. Drum brake system repairs 3. Disc brake system service 4. Wheels, tire, and wheel bearing work 5. Brake lathe resurfacing of drums and rotors 6. Brake assist mechanism testing and repair 7. Anti-lock brakes diagnosis and service 8. Steering system repairs 9. Suspension component service 10. Vehicle wheel alignments |

| REQUIREMENTS: | Concurrent enrollment in Auto 155 and a set of hand tools. | ||

| OTHER: | Good customer relations will be emphasized since all work performed, for credit, in this class will be on "live" vehicles. A cooperative personality is necessary so that repair projects can be coordinated with customers. Also, attendance is crucial since this is a work experience type of class. | ||
