GENERAL EDUCATION: This course does not fulfill a General Education requirement.

CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Clutch mechanisms, manual transmissions and transaxles, transfer cases, drive shaft principles and theory, drive axle service, diagnosis, and repair.
DESCRIPTION: Six hours of lab per week
TOPICS: Students will diagnose, remove, replace, rebuild and recondition automotive and light truck clutches, transmissions, transaxles, drive shafts, half-shafts, differentials, and transfer cases.
All work will be live and must work when finished to receive a passing grade.
OBJECTIVES: To give the students hands-on experience similar to that received in the automotive trade.
REQUIREMENTS: Student must be concurrently enrolled in Auto 165 and Auto 095.
PREREQUISITES: Previous automotive experience or consent of instructor.
OTHER: Students must have a basic set of hand tools, as listed on Auto Dept. home page.
