| CATALOG DESCRIPTION: | Clutch mechanisms, manual transmissions and transaxles, transfer cases, drive shaft principles and theory, drive axle service, diagnosis, and repair. | ||
| DESCRIPTION: | Six hours of lab per week | ||
| TOPICS: | Students will diagnose, remove, replace, rebuild and recondition automotive and light truck clutches, transmissions, transaxles, drive shafts, half-shafts, differentials, and transfer cases. All work will be live and must work when finished to receive a passing grade. |

| OBJECTIVES: | To give the students hands-on experience similar to that received in the automotive trade. | ||
| REQUIREMENTS: | Student must be concurrently enrolled in Auto 165 and Auto 095. | ||
| PREREQUISITES: | Previous automotive experience or consent of instructor. | ||
| OTHER: | Students must have a basic set of hand tools, as listed on Auto Dept. home page. | ||
