|CATALOG DESCRIPTION:||Clutch mechanisms, manual transmissions and transaxles, transfer cases, drive shaft principles and theory, drive axle service, diagnosis, and repair.|
|DESCRIPTION:||Six hours of lab per week|
|TOPICS:||Students will diagnose, remove, replace, rebuild and recondition automotive and light truck clutches, transmissions, transaxles, drive shafts, half-shafts, differentials, and transfer cases.
All work will be live and must work when finished to receive a passing grade.
|OBJECTIVES:||To give the students hands-on experience similar to that received in the automotive trade.|
|REQUIREMENTS:||Student must be concurrently enrolled in Auto 165 and Auto 095.|
|PREREQUISITES:||Previous automotive experience or consent of instructor.|
|OTHER:||Students must have a basic set of hand tools, as listed on Auto Dept. home page.|
