| CATALOG DESCRIPTION: | Microscopic anatomy of cells and tissues and their relationship to the function of the cell. (Winter, Fall) | ||
| DESCRIPTION: | A microscopic study of the anatomy of the cells that constitute the majors systems and organs of the body. Exposure to the techniques and protocols for creating histological specimens and slides. | ||
| TOPICS: | Microscopic identification of the organs and systems of the body. Students will study the histological staining techniques used for light microscope, immunohistochemistry, cytoarchitecture, SEM and TEM. | ||
| OBJECTIVES: | Equip students with the requisite skills needed to identify the tissues of the body and the techniques for preparing these tissues. | ||
