CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Advanced human anatomy for Human Biology Majors.
Comprehensive regional study of gross human anatomy with emphasis on the limbs, and the thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavities. A portion of the course will be devoted to head and neck anatomy and some neuroanatomy. (Winter, Summer, Fall)
DESCRIPTION: Comprehensive regional study of gross human anatomy with emphasis on the limbs, and the thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavities. A portion of the course will be devoted to head and neck anatomy and some neuroanatomy.
TOPICS: Regional relationships of anatomical structures. Special emphasis will be given to the relationships that help to define the anatomy. Regions of study will include the limbs, torso, and body cavities. There will be limited exposure to the anatomy of the head and neck and neuroanatomy.
OBJECTIVES: To provide students with a brief overview of the body systems and an in depth experience in understanding the anatomy of the body through regional relationships and study.
