DESCRIPTION: A one semester course emphasizing the chemical components and reactions in biological systems. The course is designed for students in Chemistry, Biology, Pre-medicine, and Pre-dentistry.
TOPICS:
OBJECTIVES: This course allows students to integrate a fundamental understanding of the physical and chemical properties of biological molecules with the role they play in biological processes. The understanding obtained through this course will broaden the students' understanding of both chemistry and biology as well as assist students in the preparation for entrance exams in health-care related professional schools.
REQUIREMENTS:
PREREQUISITES: Completion of Biology 100 or Biology 200 and Chem 351
