Experiments selected to teach organic chemistry techniques (such as recrystallization, melting points and chromatography), synthesis of compounds, characterization of functional groups, isolation and reactions of biochemically important groups. |
| OBJECTIVES: |
The lab experiments are designed to reinforce the principles discussed in chemistry 150. |
| REQUIREMENTS: |
Typically there are 10 experiments which require a lab report and a quiz. |
| PREREQUISITES: |
Concurrent registration in Chem 150. This lab cannot be taken after the completion of Chem 150. |
