CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Emphasis on the development of attitudes, knowledge, and skills that are essential to successful relationships. Explores gospel and research-based principles of creating and maintaining healthy relationships and selecting an eternal companion.

TOPICS:
OBJECTIVES: Identify the three factors that predict future material satisfaction: (1) individual and relationship contexts, (2), individual traits including personality, attitudes, and skills, and (3) couple traits including couple communication, couple history, similarities, and etc.
Learn and practice effective communication and communication and conflict resolution skills.
Identify the qualities of strong and resilient covenant marriage and families using gospel principles and scholarly resources.
REQUIREMENTS: Enrichment assignments and reports, taking and responding to the RELATE BYU questionnaire, class projects/presentations, participating in communication and conflict resolution exercises, and quizzes , and examinations.
