CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Overview of intellectual property rights relative to computing.
DESCRIPTION: This is the second in a series of four Computer Science ethics coruses.
TOPICS: Intellectual property rights overview; Copyright, including fair use; Patents; Trademarks; Software piracy; Transnational issues.
OBJECTIVES: The objectives of this course is to increas awareness and understanding of the Computer Science major regarding ethics associated with intellectual property rights.
REQUIREMENTS: Class attendance is required and is part of the grade.
Each student is required to participate in group discussions.
