| CATALOG DESCRIPTION: | A study of the geological history of the earth and the evolution of it's life forms. For geology and related majors. Students who take Geol 112 may not receive credit for Geol 103. Students taking Geol 112 are required to take Geol 112L. | ||
| DESCRIPTION: | Foundational topics pertaining to historical geology are studied that include early contribution to the science, geologic time and how it is measured, stratigraphic principles, early life forms, then environments and development, and the impact of the Plate Tectonic Theory. Early earth history, then each geologic period is studied in more detail as applied to regions of North America and world localities. | ||
