CATALOG DESCRIPTION: This is a movement class where rhythms, styles, and techniques of clog dance on an intermediate-advanced level will be introduced to the student.
DESCRIPTION: This is a movement class where rhythms, styles, and techniques of clog dance on an intermediate-advanced level will be introduced to the student.
TOPICS:
OBJECTIVES: 1. To introduce 5 clog routines, which include the buck basics and intermediate-advanced steps.
2. To demonstrate an understanding of clog skill on an intermediate-advanced level.
3. To help each student experience the fun of clog rhythms and style.
4. To heighten physical well being through movement activity.
5. Provide students the opportunity to create and perform a clog routine.
REQUIREMENTS: Department Attendance/Punctuality
Two absences are allowed without penalty. Three to four absences will result in lowering of grade. The fifth absence will result in failing the course. Three tardies equal an absence.

One page paper on Dance Concert 10%
Written tests 25%
Attendance 15%
Dance skill tests 25%
Participate in Clog Showcase 25%
PREREQUISITES: Dance 171 or be an intermediate clogger and know pitter-patter buck steps.
