CATALOG DESCRIPTION: A course designed to develop skills of social dancing. Five of the following dances will be taught each semester: waltz, foxtrot, cha cha, swing (various styles), west coast swing, mambo, tango, rumba.
DESCRIPTION: A course designed to develop skills of social dancing. Four of the following dances will be taught each semester: waltz, foxtrot, cha cha, swing (various styles), samba, mambo, tango, samba, rumba, polka, Viennese waltz, merengue.
TOPICS:
OBJECTIVES: Develop a proficiency in intermediate level American style ballroom dancing.
REQUIREMENTS: Class attendance and participation is required. Practical and written evaluations and final exam.
PREREQUISITES: Dance 180 or consent of instructor.
