TOPICS: | Boundary value problems, homogeneous and nonhomogeneous partial differential equations, separable equations, LaPlace Transform and other solution methods, wave, heat and potential equations. | ||
OBJECTIVES: | Students will learn the basic principles and skills associated with partial differential equations and their solutions. They will apply these to a wide variety of problems and will extend solution methods to similar but unfamiliar problems. | ||
REQUIREMENTS: | All students must have their own textual materials. Exams are required by all faculty members. Each faculty member decides what other forms of assessment to require and what weight to give each of them. |
