| DESCRIPTION: | Speaking and listening skills, leading to class discussion entirely in French by end of semester, reading progressively more difficult texts and writing a relatively error free one page poem, essay or story. May not be repeated for credit. | ||

| OBJECTIVES: | At semester's end students should be able to speak at novice-high level, pass a test on grammar concepts in first six chapters of the class manual, demonstrate understanding of basic written texts and write a one page paper in French. | ||
| REQUIREMENTS: | Attendance, textbook, workbook, CD listening exercises, quizzes and exams. | ||
| PREREQUISITES: | This course is for beginners, students with less than a year and a half of high school French. | ||
