CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Environmental health comprises those aspects of human health including quality of life that are determined by physical, biological, social, and psychosocial factors in the environment. This course provides a concise knowledge base of how our environmental may effect human health.
DESCRIPTION: Introduction to the field of environmental health and the regulatory aspects of local, state and federal laws. This course investigates the impact on our environment of water pollution, air pollution, solid and hazardous waste, resource recovery and reuse, toxic substances, pesticides, herbicides, occupational safety and health and radiation

OBJECTIVES: Student will: 1) be able to define the fundamental terms of the study of environmental health, 2) be able to explain the basic relationship between the environment and health, 3) be able to explain the impacts of our environmental on human health, 4) be able to explain the roles of environmental health professionals, 5) understand what environmental health contains, 6) understand the scope of the
problems in environmental health, 7) understand the methods of addressing the problems involved in environmental health, 8) understand the roles of the different players in environmental health
