DESCRIPTION: Theories and techniques of documentary and corporate video production, including budgeting, script writing, shooting and post-production. Students will be required to produce broadcast-quality projects in the course.

CONTENT AND TOPICS: Theories and techniques of documentary and corporate video production, including budgeting, script writing, shooting and post-production. Students will be required to produce broadcast-quality projects in the course.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Learn the historical background surrounding documentary and corporate video production. Learn the basic theories behind documentary and corporate video production. Learn and demonstrate abilities to work with outside clients. Demonstrate scripting methods for documentary and corporate video production. Demonstrate videotaping methods of documentary and corporate video production. Demonstrate video editing methods of documentary and corporate video production.
REQUIREMENTS: Tests, Client feedback, written evaluations, lab assignments, edited product, readings, lectures, discussion, PowerPoint, video examples, modeling, peer input, demonstrations, and hands-on experience.
PREREQUISITES: COMM 365. This course cannot be taken earlier than the second semester of the junior year of studies.
