GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Learn the basic theories behind television production. Learn how to properly compose video with a video camera. Learn how to edit video with both linear and non-linear video editing technologies. Learn how to properly create television commercials and news stories. Learn of various positions needed to create a television newscast.
REQUIREMENTS: Tests, lab evaluations, written evaluations, lectures, discussion, demonstrations, hands-on experience, field trips, simulated newscast, readings, and presentations.
PREREQUISITES: COMM 260, or consent of Instructor. Concurrent registration with COMM 260 permissible.
