| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: |
Improve lead/news writing skills. Demonstrate effective use of tone, attributive verbs, quotes, succinctness, color and usage in writing. Compare/contrast news, newspaper feature, magazine, editorial and columns as journalistic genres. Write articles worthy of publication in each of the above journalistic genres. Interview effectively. Demonstrate a dedication to accuracy through reporting and research. |
