GENERAL EDUCATION: This course does not fulfill a General Education requirement.

DESCRIPTION: Analysis of theory and practice of human communication in a small group setting, focusing on leadership, participation and evaluation, with emphasis in group norms, roles, cohesion and conflict.
TAUGHT: W/S/F 2004, 2005, & 2006, W/F 2007, W/F 2008
CONTENT AND TOPICS: Merit Pay distributed to each group member.
Group Work: Problem Solving; Service Project; Scripture Study; Social (Group date and Dinner); Discussion; Research Paper; Road Trip; Portfolio.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Understand principles of Group Dynamics. Demonstrate effective leadership skills. Demonstrate appropriate group behavior. Present group findings or results. Evaluate group behavior. Produce a portfolio of group work.
REQUIREMENTS: Tests, lectures, readings, demonstrations, modelings, group projects, teacher evaluations, peer evaluations, participation, written evaluations, and final portfolio.
PREREQUISITES: COMM 150 or permission of Instructor.
