GENERAL EDUCATION: This course does not fulfill a General Education requirement.

DESCRIPTION: Hands-on experience in the department's media and communication organizations, with separate sections for each of the following: Forensics Debate Team, radio stations KBYI and KBYR, cable television operation, 'Scroll' newspaper, 'Rixida' CD/DVD yearbook, advertising agency, online production staff, public relations agency and organizational communication consulting firm.
TAUGHT: Winter, Summer, Fall

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Produce a yearbook on DVD. Improve writing and communication skills. Produce a multimedia Service project. Learn important software programs. Develop good relationships and improve leadership skills.
REQUIREMENTS: Lab, student mentoring, discussions, lectures, editing, Service projects, finished product, status reports, meetings, follow-up.
PREREQUISITES: Communication major or minor or consent of Instructor.
