| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | Extended or full-time experience in a professional media or communication organization or position outside of BYU-Idaho. On-the-job training to be arranged through and monitored by the Instructor. |

| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | Provide a structured option for students who wish to complete professional work experience in their area of study under the auspices of the university’s internship program.Maintain a system of accountability during internships. Promote analytical reflection and connection between the internship and possible future career directions. | ||
| REQUIREMENTS: | One-on-one advisement, coordination between student and potential internship provider, periodic student reports, self analysis, supervisor reports, successful completion of internship. | ||
| PREREQUISITES: | Completion of Communication core and entry-level area of study course. Proposed internship must be approved by designated department faculty member before registering. |
