DESCRIPTION: Continuation of SIGN 101. Teaches increased conversational skills and further knowledge of culture of the deaf.

Advanced vocabulary.
Advanced fingerspelling.
Deaf culture.

ASL structure.
Reception.
Church Signs.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Increase grammatically appropriate conversational fluency. Immersion in target language. Emphasize vocabulary building. Build culturally appropriate social skills with the Deaf population.
REQUIREMENTS: Quizzes, written summaries, participation, demonstrations, workbook, practice, assignments, dialogues, research, lectures, readings, discussions, guest lectures, games, videos, and hands-on.
PREREQUISITES: SIGN 101 or consent of Instructor.
OTHER: American Sign Language (ASL) is taught in this course.
