GENERAL EDUCATION: This course fulfills a General Education - Biological Science requirement.

DESCRIPTION: An accelerated, one term course for high school graduates who need to complete their Anatomy and Physiology requirement prior to beginning the nursing program at BYU-Idaho. Covers all of the topics taught in Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II (BIO 264 and BIO 265). Restricted to high school graduates who have already been accepted into the nursing program.
TAUGHT: Summer - 2nd term
CONTENT AND TOPICS: Basic chemistry, biological chemistry, cell structure and function, integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, nervous system, the senses, circulatory system, endocrine system, lymphatic system, respiratory system, urinary system, digestive system, and reproductive system.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: To provide a solid background in anatomy and physiology to students of nursing.
REQUIREMENTS: Grade is based on lecture exams, lab exams and quizzes.
PREREQUISITES: Recommended: one biology course
