DESCRIPTION: Introduction to analog and digital electronic communication. Theory of amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, pulse modulation, antennas and transmission lines. Transmitters, receivers, oscillators, and antennas are built and tested. Student presentations are required. Laboratory exercises are included.

CONTENT AND TOPICS: Transmitters, amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, pulse and digital modulation, antennas and transmission lines.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: 1. Understand analog and digital electronic communication.
2. Become familiar with teh theory of amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, pulse modulation, antennas and transmission lines.
3. Build and test transmitters, receivers, oscillators, and antennas.
4. Participate in presentations and laboratory exercises.
