| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | 1.Prepare students to perform in the annual Halloween concert, CDT in concert and in the outreach programs involving local schools. 2.Apply knowledge and engage in the process of forming and selecting ideas, concepts, and beliefs. 3.Receive guidance, criticism, assessment and ajudication of their work. 4.Be informed of the opportunities to perform, choregraph, teach, audition, demonstrate and incorporate dance introduction to the extended community. 5.Develop abilities to bring aesthetic evaluation and appreciation to composition, choreography, and performance. 6.Learn to distinguish strengths and weaknesses in what is experienced. 7.Develop skills, understanding and attitudes through dance to help externalize reactions to life, appreciate aesthetics, challenge the intellect, and broaden social and spiritual awareness and capacities. 8.Learn about the development of dance by participating in dance forms of the past and present. |
