DESCRIPTION: Dance company experiences in modern dance choreography and performance for concert settings.

CONTENT AND TOPICS:
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: 1.To prepare dances to be performed on and off campus during the semester with the possibility of US and international touring.
2.Apply knowledge and engage in the process of forming and selecting ideas, concepts, and beliefs.
3.Receive guidance, criticism, assessment and ajudication of their work.
4.Be informed of the opportunities to perform, choregraph, teach, audition, demonstrate and incorporate dance introduction to the extended community.
5.Develop abilities to bring aesthetic evaluation and appreciation to composition, choreography, and performance.
6.Learn to distinguish strengths and weaknesses in what is experienced.
7.Develop skills, understanding and attitudes through dance to help externalize reactions to life, appreciate aesthetics, challenge the inttelect, and broaden social and spiritual awareness and capacities.
8.Learn about the development of dance by participating in dance forms of the past and present.
REQUIREMENTS: Class attendance and participation is required. Practical and individual evaluations.
