|DESCRIPTION:||Dances from around the world. This is a movement class where rhythms, styles, and techniques of 21 international folk dances are introduced to the student; including basic folk terminology, formations, style and steps.|

|GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:||1.Demonstrate an understanding of basic fundamentals and technical skill.
2.Experience the fun and variety of rhythms and dance movement.
3.Learn to discriminate the different dances according to the music.
4.Acquire physical well-being through movement activity.
5.Experience the opportunity to create and perform a dance routine in a small group.
|REQUIREMENTS:||Class attendance and participation is required. Practical and written evaluations and final exam.|
