| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | 1.Understand the relationship between dance and the gospel and our stewardship as dancers in the Lord's kingdom. 2. Develop flexibility, strength, endurance, balance, coordination, phrasing and dance performance skills. 3.Develop a kinesthetic awareness of body alignment. 4.Demonstrate a knowledge of and control over the elements of dance (time, space and energy). 5.Acquire fundamental techniques in improvisation and composition. 6.Develop a keen awareness and appreciation for dance as an art form. 7.Become knowledgeable of basic modern dance history. |

| REQUIREMENTS: | Class attendance and participation is required. Practical and written evaluations and final exam. | ||
