| DESCRIPTION: |
Study of concepts, strategies, tools and ethical issues involved in the use of the Internet. Focuses on design and construction of XHTML web pages including development and management of Internet and Intranet web sites, and XML. |

- Site and Page Design and Construction using code and WYSISYG editors
- Research and development of Privacy, Copyright, and Acceptable Use policies
- Develop and implement an understanding of web design principals

| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: |
- Demonstrate how to create effective and navigationally efficient web sites.
- Demonstrate understanding and implementation of valid XHTML pages, Cascading Style Sheets, fundamental JavaScript and fundamental XML.
- Demonstrate an understanding of important web-applicable legal issues and develop their own policies of these key issues.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop web sites in an individual and group environment.

| REQUIREMENTS: |
Develop multiple web sites, each populated with multiple web pages. Conduct research and write papers summarizing the research findings. Work in individual and team environments. Demonstrate knowledge of code through quizzes and actual development. |
