DESCRIPTION: Intensive study and practice with grammar, vocabulary, and writing.
TAUGHT: Fall, Winter, and Summer
CONTENT AND TOPICS: Grammar topics that are difficult for the non-native; basics of good composition; Spanish syntax
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: -Write with skill and effectiveness, featuring narration and description in major tenses with some use of subordination.
-Have a strong awareness of audience and structure work so as to write persuasively.
-Write effectives at the paragraph level and begin to produce extended discourse in writing.
REQUIREMENTS: Student teaching, lectures, demonstrations, text analysis, free writing, paper workshops, portfolio preparation, essays, student lessons, portfolio, chapter tests.
PREREQUISITES: Spanish 202 or 302 with a grade of "C" or better. Also open to native speakers.
