| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | Students study literary genres including novel [and corresponding film], novelette, short story, drama and the Holy Scriptures. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | -Discuss and analyze literature using concepts, literary terms, and vocabulary based on the required literary works. -Speak on an advanced-low level as defined in ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines. -Write literature with effective sentence and paragraph structure and using narrative, descriptive, comparison/contrast, persuasive and informative/research discourse in all time frames. -Read literary and expository prose with awareness ofo point of view and argument and with increasing alertness to nuance and subtleties of expression. -Demonstrate an understanding of a piece of French literature in an analytical essay informed by critical theory and reflecting an awareness of broad range of literary terms and issues. |
