|CONTENT AND TOPICS:||Basic speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills and knowlege of the grammar to enable the student to discuss grammar concepts and expository and literary readings in class. Readings in Russian include selections from Pushkin, Lermontov, Turgenev, and newspapers or magazines.|
|GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:||-Learn some intermediate points of Russian grammar including prefixed and un-prefixed verbs of motion, declension of numerals, participles, and gerunds.
-Read and understand Russian literary selections from graded readers, as well as children's literature and selections from the Bible, magazines and newspapers.
-Begin to master basic concepts in how to approach and appreciate literature written Russian.
