DESCRIPTION: Emphasizes speaking and mastery of intermediate grammar through stories, essays, poems, and videos.
TAUGHT: Fall, Winter, and Summer
CONTENT AND TOPICS: French literature, grammar, oral reports, group study.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: -Answer text-specific questions and summarize readings for the class with relative ease.
-Speak French in class and be able to exchange basic information related to work, school, home, leisure time and travel.
-Complete a variety of written assignments in the appropriate course workbook.
-Become aware of concepts, issues and world views in Francophone countries through discussions of culturally authentic material.
-Complete reading comprehension portions of chapter tests.
REQUIREMENTS: Group tasks, guided writing and speaking, presentations, oral proficiency interviews, workbook performance, tests.
PREREQUISITES: French 102 with grade of "C" or better, or three or more years of high school French, or consent of instructor.
