DESCRIPTION: A continuation of French 101.
TAUGHT: Fall, Winter, and Summer
CONTENT AND TOPICS: Emphasizes more advanced skills: speaking, followed by listening, reading and writing.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: -Learn and pass off set oral expressions provided for each chapter of the text.
-Complete simple communicative tasks talking about family, home, school, work, leisure time and childhood.
-Talk about the future and conditional situations.
-Complete a variety of written assignments in the appropriate course workbook.
-Comprehend elementary dialogues using vocabulary and structures from the text and answer simple questions about the content.
-Become aware of concepts, issues and world views in Francophone countries through discussions of culturally authentic material.
-Complete reading comprehension portions of chapter tests.
REQUIREMENTS: Role plays, demonstrations, workbook performance, oral proficiency evaluations, quizzes, tests.
PREREQUISITES: French 101 with grade of "C" or better, or two years of high school French, or consent of instructor.
