GENERAL EDUCATION: This course fulfills a General Education - no GECode requirement.

DESCRIPTION: Development of speaking, understanding, reading, and writing the Cyrillic alphabet.
TAUGHT: Fall, Winter, and Summer
CONTENT AND TOPICS: Basic speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills and knowledge of the grammar to enable the student to communicate comprehensibly about the themes chosen for the semester.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: -Converse in communicative tasks regularly used in daily life.
-Write any Russian phrases that can be spoken by the student.
-Give paragraph-length stories in Russian.
-Read short, simply structured paragraphs in Russian.
REQUIREMENTS: Expressions, active speaking, writing exercises, dictations, reading passages, conversations, partner pass-offs, writing tasks, oral tasks
PREREQUISITES: Russian 101 with a grade of "C" or better, or two years of high school Russian, or consent of instructor.
