GENERAL EDUCATION: This course fulfills a General Education - no GECode requirement.

DESCRIPTION: Emphasis on basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
TAUGHT: Fall, Winter, and Summer
CONTENT AND TOPICS: Past and future indicatives, imperfect vs. preterite, past and present subjunctive, hypothetical and conditional sentences, etc.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: -Use Spanish to complete simple communicative tasks such as introductions, asking follow-up questions, talking about personal interests, and narrating in the past.
-Expand familiarity with important issues in the Hispanic world.
REQUIREMENTS: Group work, book exercises, role plays, discussions, group drills, assignments, readings, short compositions, workbook, short compositions, quizzes, oral production interviews, chapter tests.
PREREQUISITES: Spanish 101 with a grade of "C" or better, two and a half to three years of high school Spanish, or consent of instructor.
