GENERAL EDUCATION: This course fulfills a General Education - Social Science requirement.

DESCRIPTION: Anthropological approaches and perspectives on humans, their culture, and their society; early and pre-historic humans. Basic concepts for analyzing cultural behavior. Comparison on non Western societies.
TAUGHT: On demand
CONTENT AND TOPICS: A structure/functional approach to the study of human culture.
Family, marriage, religion, government, subsistence patterns kinship, early man.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Students will understand other cultures and develop a sympathetic view of cultural diversity.
REQUIREMENTS: 4 exams, 2 book reports, maintain a journal.
PREREQUISITES: You must have a 3.5 or higher accumulative GPA to take an Honor's course.
