GENERAL EDUCATION: This course does not fulfill a General Education requirement.

DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to give studetns an exposure to different lifestyle enhancement tools and techniques. The students will gain information that will enable them to teach individuals or groups lifestyle improving behaviors and techniques.
TAUGHT: Fall, Winter, 2nd Summer
CONTENT AND TOPICS: Stress management, back care, ergonomics, blood pressure, fitness assessment, weight training, nutrition, smoking cessation, weight control, flexibility.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Students will be able to: 1) demonstrate an understanding of the most appropriate ways to make lifestyle behavioral change, 2) develop competency in administering lifestyle enhancing behaviors, 3) develop a base of materials to compile a portfolio of lifestyle development tools, 4) demonstrate competency in assessing the web to find current information on various lifestyle enhancement sites.
