| DESCRIPTION: | Internship for Home and Family minor or secondary education vocational endorsement. Opportunity to link academic learning with experience in field. Recommended to be taken as work experience when you are off track. One credit hour is required for occupational endorsement for Family and Consumer Science. 160 work hours are required. | ||

| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | 1. Provide the student with work experience in an area relating to the home and family area to facilitate the student obtaining a vocational endorsement from the state. Experience can be in retail/merchandising, foods, child care, clothing/apparel, interior design or other areas specifically approved by the instructor. 2. Provide the student with actual hands-on experience within the framework of a professional business. 3. Provide the future teacher experience in the work field that will be applicable to helping their students. |

| REQUIREMENTS: | Students are required to successfully complete 160 hours of work at a business in an area related to the Family and Consumer area, that has been approved by the instructor. | ||
