1. Al-Kitaab fii Taallum al-ArabiyyaA Textbook for Beginning Arabic Part One
2. Hans Wehr, Arabic-English Dictionary
|GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:||All language learning skills will be developed, reading, writing, listening and speaking. All verb tenses will be taught and the vocabulary will build to 450-500 words. The students will learn the skill of using the Arabic dictionary, which will prepare them for the difficult task of translating formal Arabic.|
|REQUIREMENTS:||A final grade will be given based on the completion of and quality of the following:

|PREREQUISITES:||Arabic 101/101H or equivalent Intermediate Arabic.
You must have a 3.5 or higher accumulative GPA to take an Honors course.
